The non-profit organization, African Rivers, has announced that the highly anticipated Zambezi River Indaba and Expo 2024 has been postponed to a later date. This decision was made in order to accommodate the emerging wider stakeholder interests and to refine the planning technicalities.
The event, which was originally scheduled to take place from the 25th to 28th of March, 2024 in Livingstone, Zambia, aimed to promote river restoration, tourism, climate finance, and technology for sustainable development in Africa.
With a target of over 2,000 participants from various regions, including COMESA, SADC, and IOC, the Indaba and Expo aimed to bring together diverse stakeholders to discuss and exchange ideas on conserving the Zambezi River and other water bodies across the continent, while also exploring eco-friendly investment opportunities.
The new date and month for the event will be announced soon.
We express our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling of the Zambezi River Indaba and Expo event. African Rivers, in collaboration with partners from various regions, reassures all stakeholders, including Exhibitors, Investors, Policymakers, Experts, Crossborder Traders, Traditional Leaders, Women, Youth, and Children, that the event will proceed as planned in Livingstone with the same objectives intact.
