The Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency (ZCSA) has appealed to the members of the public to report any illegal manufacturing of mealie meal, bottled water, beverages and other products which are covered by compulsory standards in order to protect consumers from unsafe products.
And in a statement issued to Melo News ZCSA Head of communication Brian Hatyoka says ZCSA has urged the public to be safety conscious and only buy products from reputable sources.
He notes that Consumers should develop a habit of reading labels on the products so that they don’t buy expired and questionable merchandises.
Therefore, ZCSA has Warned entities which are illegally manufacturing products to resist from such stating that they will face compulsory standards.
