President Hakainde Hichilema participated in the celebration of National Youth Day alongside our young people at David Kaunda Stadium in Chipata, Eastern Province. He emphasized that the youth are our most valuable asset, and the government is committed to creating a supportive environment for them throughout the country.

President Hichilema’s message to the youth is crystal clear – they should take advantage of their youthfulness to achieve success in life. He believes that every young person has the potential to excel in various fields, and all they need is hard work and discipline.

The government will continue its efforts to generate more job opportunities for the youth this year, along with implementing other initiatives aimed at empowering them. President Hichilema assured the young audience that their government is dedicated to their welfare and progress.

Addressing the youth, President Hichilema acknowledged the challenges they face due to the drought. However, he encouraged them not to lose hope and emphasized the importance of resilience in overcoming obstacles.

The President expressed his determination to transform the drought into an opportunity that will positively impact the nation. He assured the youth that the government will prioritize irrigation and allocate resources in this year’s budget to ensure food security and promote agricultural growth.

President Hichilema concluded his message by extending his blessings to the youth and expressing his hope that God will guide and support them in their endeavors.
