The Embassy of Zambia in Paris participated in the commemoration of International Women’s Day by joining the Mayor of the City of Paris, Ms Anne Hidalgo, in organizing the Capital Conference for women.
The conference, held under the theme “In 2024 is one women = one man? A question of power,” brought together influential figures from around the world.
Among the notable attendees were Michelle Bachelet, the Former President of Chile, and Shirin Ebadi, a renowned Lawyer and Nobel Peace Prize winner.
The discussions during the conference focused on addressing the ongoing fight for women’s freedoms and equal rights. Representing the Mission on behalf of the Ambassador was Ms Twaambo Muzyamba, the First Secretary of Tourism.
