In commemoration of International Women’s Day, Zamtel has made a generous donation of various essentials to the Women and Newborn Baby ward at University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka.
During the event, James Chona, the representative of Zamtel, expressed their commitment to continue supporting Ward BO1.
Additionally, Mukatimui Monalula, the Senior Medical Superintendent, expressed gratitude towards Zamtel for their donation, emphasizing the importance of these resources for the vulnerable women and newborns in the ward.
She also urged other organizations to join forces with them in order to provide assistance to those in need.
Mrs. Rebecca Nyirenda, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her happiness and appreciation for Zamtel’s contribution, highlighting the significance of the donated equipment for the care of women before and after delivery in the ward.
