What an extraordinary day it has been! Today will forever be imprinted in my mind as one of the most extraordinary moments of the year. Just a few days ago, I made the decision to reconnect with my primary school teacher, whom I hadn’t laid eyes on in an astonishing 23 years, as shared by Emmanuel Chisalu.

The support and response I received from everyone were truly overwhelming. The immense generosity and assistance poured in from all those who reached out to me, making it possible for me to successfully locate my long-lost teacher. I cannot express enough gratitude to each and every person who played a role in turning this long-awaited reunion into a reality.

Today, as Emmanuel made his way to Kalomo, he experienced a heartwarming encounter with his former teacher, finally having the chance to express his deep appreciation in person.

In a touching gesture, Emmanuel decided to present his former teacher with a cheque as a symbol of gratitude for the valuable lessons and discipline instilled in him during his formative years, even if it meant enduring slaps, nkonyos, and whips along the way.

Mr. Mwene’s dedication to shaping the minds of young individuals has left a lasting impression on Emmanuel Chisalu’s path, significantly influencing the person he is today and steering him towards his future aspirations.

Emmanuel Chisalu expressed his gratitude towards Mr. Mwene for the lasting impact he had and the hospitality he showed during Emmanuel’s brief visit to Kalomo. It was a heartfelt gesture to acknowledge the kindness and influence that Mr. Mwene had on Emmanuel during their time together in Kalomo.
