The Zambia Police Service has made it clear that they are not associated with a statement that is currently circulating on social media. This statement suggests that Police Officers have surrounded the residence of the former Lusaka Archbishop, Telesphore George Mpundu.
The police have taken the initiative to distance themselves from this claim, emphasizing that they are not involved in any such action.
It is important to note that the police are committed to upholding the law and ensuring the safety and security of all individuals, including public figures, and they are not involved in any unauthorized activities as suggested by the circulating statement.
Danny Mwale, Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, urges the general public to be aware that the statement holds no truth and should be regarded with the utmost contempt it deserves.
Mr. Mwale stated that in addition to our ongoing efforts, we have initiated thorough investigations to identify the individual or individuals responsible for the dissemination of the false statement. The primary objective of these investigations is to ensure that those responsible are held accountable for their actions.
