Former first lady Monica Geingos said she still has no words to describe losing her husband, president Hage Geingob, recently.
“I still have no words. Rest in power, ou Hageba kai axaba (Big Boy),” Geingos tweeted on Wednesday, which would have been their ninth wedding anniversary.
The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in the capital on 14 February (Valentine’s Day) 2015.
Shortly after the wedding in 2015, Geingos took to social media and officially announced herself as “Ausiro Monica Geingos”.
During a memorial service held at the Geingobs’ private residence last week, presidential spokesperson Alfredo Hengari described the relationship between the two as “a solid bond”.
“It is hard to understand how the two of you could regularly speak on the presidential Falcon for five hours,” he said.
Geingob will be laid to rest on 25 February.
