An incident occurred in Lusaka where the local police documented a collision between a Zambia Railways Goods Train and a Howo Sino Truck and Trailer.
At approximately 14:30 hours today, a collision occurred on Tokyo-way near Misisi Compound in Lusaka. The incident involved a truck with registration numbers BCD 3403 and BCFT 3113, whose driver failed to yield to a goods train that had the right of way.
The Train was en route to the Southern Province, while the Truck was making its way towards the east from the Misisi Compound area, heading in the direction of Kamwala South.
There have been no reported injuries among the passengers on board the train as well as the occupants of the truck involved in the incident.
The Zambia Police Service and Road Transport and Safety Agency have dispatched their officers to the scene, where they are actively engaged in the task of traffic regulation.
