The Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), through its Anti Money Laundering Investigations Unit (AMLIU), has arrested a 46-year-old man from Linda Compound in Lusaka.
Speaking to Melo News the public relations officer for DEC Mwenge Mulenga says the identifield theft and money laundering offenses involved over ZMW 32,000.
He says this follows a series of identity theft cases that were reported in Lusaka in which one of the cases has led to the arrest of Leonard Banda, who was acting together with other persons unknown on dates believed to be between 1st August 2022 and 5th February 2024.
