President Hichilema Appoints Dr. Choolwe Beyani as Chairperson of Civil Service Commission

State House chief communication specialist, Clayson Hamasaka, announced that the President has utilized his authority under sections 15(c) and 9(c) of the Service Commissions Act No. 10 of 2016 to appoint Mr Akalamwa Sumbwa as a member of the Local Government Service Commission and Mr Ronald Hichibulo as a member of the Teaching Service Commission.

According to him, the President has designated Mr Anttonette Mutenthwa as a member of the Police Service Commission under section 13(c) of the Police Service Commission Act. Additionally, Mr Felix Ngoma has been appointed as a Commissioner at the Police Public Complaints Commission in accordance with Section 5(1) of the Police Public Complaints Commission Act No. 18 of 2016.

In addition, Mr. Hamasaka announced that Mr. Tom Silwindi has been relocated from the Correctional Service Commission to the Police Service Commission, while Mr. Simon Kabanda has been transferred from the Police Service Commission to the Correctional Service Commission, both serving as Commissioners. Furthermore, Mr. Mwamba Peni has been moved from the Emoluments Commission to the Cabinet office, assuming the role of Permanent Secretary Special Duties.
