During his visit to the Constituency on Saturday, Bwana Mkubwa Member of Parliament Honorable Mwambazi dedicated his time to inspect the progress of the ongoing drainage construction works in Twashuka ward. These works had started a week ago and were now being closely monitored by the Honorable.
He was joined by Mathews Musonda, the area councilor, Elias Mwalaba, the director of Engineering at Ndola City Council, members of the Constituency Development Fund-CDFC committee, members of the Ward Development Committee-WDC, and representatives from Brainstorm Investment Limited, who have been contracted for the project.
The Bwana Mkubwa legislator expressed great satisfaction with the progress of the project thus far. We have urged the contractor to ensure that the work is of high quality and completed within the specified timeframe, just as the president has encouraged us to do.
Honorable Mwambazi further emphasized the importance of the contractor hiring local individuals to ensure equitable benefits for the community.
The Constituency Development Fund-CDF is funding the construction of the project, with a total cost of K540,000. The project is expected to be finished within a three-month timeframe.
Upon completion, Honorable Mwambazi urged the constituents to ensure that they refrain from disposing of waste in the same drainage systems, as it hinders the crucial progress required for the development of the constituency.
Honorable Mwambazi expressed his gratitude to President Hakainde Hichilema, acknowledging the game-changing Community Development Fund (CDF) as a significant catalyst for community development.
