The Economic Summit, organized by the Economics Association of Zambia (EAZ), is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, December 13th, to Thursday, December 14th, 2023. This two-day event will be held at the prestigious Ciêla Resort, located in Bonanza Estate, Chongwe District.
The Summit, with the theme of “Promoting Economic Growth for Sustainable Wealth and Job Creation,” seeks to establish a forum for the government, private sector, and various stakeholders to participate in crucial dialogues.
These discussions will primarily revolve around capitalizing on investment prospects subsequent to the accomplishment of a Debt Restructuring Agreement with the Official Creditors’ Committee under the G20 Common Framework.
The President of the Republic of Zambia, Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, will grace the summit with his esteemed presence. Mr. Hichilema will play an active role in the proceedings, actively participating in the meeting. Joining him as the co-host of the Summit will be Dr. Situmbeko Musokotwane, the Minister of Finance and National Planning, who will lead the government’s economic management team.
