President Hakainde Hichilema delivered a speech at the Saudi-African Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he emphasized the abundance of natural and human resources in Zambia and the importance of global partnerships.

During President Hakainde Hichilema’s address at the Saudi-African Summit in Riyadh, he highlighted Zambia’s favorable conditions for agriculture, renewable energy investment, and tourism. He emphasized the country’s abundant arable land, suitable climate for renewable energy projects, and the welcoming nature of its citizens, which create opportunities for joint ventures and economic activities.

President Hakainde Hichilema emphasized Zambia’s potential as an attractive investment destination due to its favorable business environment. He also expressed the desire for collaborative ventures between Zambian citizens and investors, highlighting the enthusiasm of the Zambian people for such partnerships.

He highlighted that ongoing conflicts, such as the one between Russia and Ukraine and the recent conflict between Israel and Gaza, have hindered development and economic activities. President Hichilema called for lasting peace to be achieved so that global attention can be directed towards economic progress.

President Hakainde Hichilema highlighted the interconnectedness of global economies and the impact of instability on a global scale. He emphasized that instability in any part of the world has far-reaching consequences and affects economies worldwide.

He emphasized the importance of these relationships and expressed hope that they will continue to yield positive outcomes for the people of Zambia.

President Hakainde Hichilema emphasized the importance of attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to Africa, specifically Zambia. Being land-linked, Zambia is strategically positioned to facilitate trade and investment, which is expected to create employment opportunities for the country’s youth and women. President Hichilema expressed optimism in realizing these economic efforts through capital injection from FDI.

President Hakainde Hichilema expressed gratitude to his fellow Zambians for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the country and steering the economy towards a brighter future. He acknowledged the current economic challenges but remained confident in the ability to overcome them and bring about positive change.
