In the third quarter of 2023, the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) has taken action by seizing and freezing bank accounts containing a total of 19.5 million Kwacha.
Additionally, a dollar account with a balance of approximately 290 thousand dollars has also been seized and frozen during the same period.
DEC Director General Nason Banda revealed these statistics during a media briefing, further stating that 81 properties have been forfeited to the state.
