Hon Imanga Wamunyima has denied any involvement in the motion to impeach the Speaker of the National Assembly, RT Hon Nelly B.K Mutti (FAPRA). In response to queries regarding a document circulating on social media proposing the motion, Hon Imanga Wamunyima clarified that he is not associated with it. He referred to Article 83 of the Republican Constitution and Section 82 of the National Assembly of Zambia Standing orders 2021 to support his denial.

In a statement, he clarified that his name appearing on the document does not indicate his endorsement or support of the petition.  Hon Imanga Wamunyima also mentioned that he only became aware of the letter through social media and had not seen it prior to that.

He stated that the process was initiated without consensus and that the PNUP is open to working with colleagues in the opposition or independents on matters that are mutually agreed upon.

Hon Imanga Wamunyima has categorically denied any involvement in the motion to impeach the Speaker of the National Assembly. In a clear statement, he emphasized that he and his party are not part of the process and have no association with it whatsoever.

In a statement issued by the Nalolo Constituency lawmaker and obtained by Melo Media, Hon. Wamunyima urged his colleagues to refrain from including names of members who do not endorse their signature in partisan processes.
