In Lusaka, the police have taken action by arresting and holding eight members of the Patriotic Front Party who were involved in disorderly conduct. The cadres have been detained for their actions, which were deemed to have the potential to disrupt the peace.
Eight members of the Patriotic Front (PF) party, known as cadres, have been arrested by the police for engaging in disorderly conduct. The cadres were causing disturbances and behaving in an unruly manner. In response to this incident, PF Secretary General Raphael Nakacinda has stated that former president Edgar Lungu is still the party president, as he was only on leave and has not been replaced.
The spokesperson for the police, Rae Hamoonga, announced that the suspects will be brought before the courts of law to face charges.
Yesterday, on October 29, 2023, at approximately 6:00 PM, the police arrested eight individuals who were identified as “unruly” PF cadres for engaging in disorderly conduct.
