Pamela Chisanga, the newly appointed High Commissioner of Zambia to Botswana, recently met with Botswana’s President, Dr. Mokgweetsi Erick Keabetswe Masisi, to present her credentials. President Masisi acknowledged the importance of strong diplomatic relations between the two countries and expressed his confidence in Chisanga’s ability to serve as a high emissary.
At the ceremony, President Masisi expressed gratitude for the strong and friendly relationship between Zambia and Botswana. He acknowledged that even though the border between the two countries is the shortest in the region, it holds great importance as it symbolizes the opportunity for the liberation of Southern Africa.

Chisanga’s appointment as High Commissioner was seen as a positive step, and the nation was congratulated for assuming the Chair of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence, and Security Cooperation in August 2023.
She expressed her appreciation for President Hichilema’s commendable work in chairing the SADC Organ.
