According to Secretary to the Cabinet Patrick Kangwa, charges have been filed against eight directors from a specific Ministry in response to audit queries.
The directors are facing charges due to the absence of documents related to audit queries, according to Mr. Kangwa.
During a press briefing in Lusaka, Mr. Kangwa emphasized the seriousness with which the Cabinet Office is addressing audit queries. As a result, numerous officers have been suspended as part of the ongoing investigation.
Acting Secretary to the Treasury, Danies Chisenda, has emphasized the importance for controlling officers to address any areas of weakness in order to prevent audit queries.
