After dedicating 33 years of his life to the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC), Chomba Yumbe, a senior cameraman, has officially retired from his position. His contributions to the corporation will be remembered and appreciated for years to come.
Throughout his tenure, he had the opportunity to work alongside and travel with all seven Presidents who have governed Zambia, gaining valuable experience and insights along the way.
Throughout his career, Yumbe was responsible for allocating and assigning camera persons to work with reporters and producers.
His retirement was announced on set after he finished shooting his last 7:00 pm Main News segment last evening. Yumbe’s contributions to the Corporation will be remembered and appreciated for years to come.
To celebrate his long and successful career, his daughter and son presented him with a cake as a token of their appreciation. Yumbe’s hard work and commitment to his job will be missed by his colleagues and the ZNBC community.
His colleagues, Raphael Kumwenda and Mary Mwiikisa, who have worked alongside him for many years, expressed their joy and gratitude for the opportunity to work with such a respected and experienced cameraman.
During his farewell, his colleagues gave him a warm hug and wished him all the best in his future endeavors.
