Dr. Nevers Mumba, Zambia’s former Diplomat to Canada, believes that his country has the necessary qualifications to contribute to resolving the conflict in Ukraine. With his experience in diplomacy, Dr. Mumba is confident that Zambia can play a role in promoting peace and stability in the region.

This belief is supported by recent news that South African President Cyril Rhamaposa has reached out to his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts, and has arranged for six African leaders, including Zambia, to travel to Russia and Ukraine for separate meetings aimed at finding a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict. With its diplomatic experience and commitment to peace, Zambia could be a valuable asset in these efforts.

In an interview, former diplomat Dr. Mumba expressed his belief that Zambia has the potential to play a significant role in resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. He sees this as an opportunity for Zambia to showcase its diplomatic skills and contribute to finding a peaceful solution to the devastating conflict, which has had far-reaching impacts beyond Europe, including on the African continent.

According to Dr. Mumba, a former diplomat, Zambia has the potential to play a significant role in resolving the conflict in Ukraine. He emphasizes that the impact of the war in Ukraine has had far-reaching consequences, including exacerbating food insecurity in Africa. Therefore, Dr. Mumba believes that Zambia should take a leading role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
