Nearly 9,500 General Certificate of Education (GCE) results have been cancelled by the Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) due to exam malpractice committed by candidates. This decision was made in order to maintain the integrity and fairness of the examination process.
The 2022 Grade 12 GCE and Grade 9 external examinations in Zambia have been marred by malpractice, leading to the cancellation of 9,500 results. The council responsible for overseeing the exams has also identified 24 teachers who are suspected of being involved in the malpractice and has reported them to the Ministry of Education for disciplinary action.
