Zambia mourns the death of Chief Munyumbwe

The passing of Chief Munyumbwe, who was a highly respected leader of the Tonga community in Gwembe district of Southern Province, has left Zambia in mourning. His legacy and contributions to his people will be remembered and celebrated for years to come.

Zambia is grieving the loss of Chief Munyumbwe, who had been battling illness for an extended period of time.

Chikuni Radio received confirmation from Harrison Milambo, the son of the late Chief Munyumbwe, about his father’s passing. Zambia is mourning the loss of the respected chief, who played an important role in his community.

Mr Milambo says the chief died yesterday Wednesday 26 April 2023 at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka where he was admitted.

According to reports, his burial is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023 at his palace in Munyumbwe. The chief’s death is a great loss to the community and his legacy will be remembered for years to come.

Mr. Milambo urges all citizens to honor the chief’s memory with respect and dignity during this difficult time.

Gwembe district commissioner, Killian Chikandula, has offered his heartfelt condolences to the Royal family and the chiefdom during this difficult time. The news of the chief’s death was also confirmed by Chikuni Radio.
