In a triumphant sweep, the United Party for National Development (UPND) emerged victorious in all three ward by-elections. The residents of Muchinda ward in Serenje, Chitimukulu in Chililabombwe, and Katilye in Lupososhi cast their votes for their preferred councillor, resulting in a clean sweep for the UPND. This impressive feat highlights the party’s growing popularity and support among voters in various regions of the country.

The United Party for National Development (UPND) has emerged victorious in all three ward by-elections, securing a clean sweep. Thomas Phiri of the UPND won in Muchinda with 1,291 votes, defeating Rodwell Kunda of the Socialist Party who received 817 votes. This success marks a significant achievement for the UPND and highlights their growing popularity among voters.

The PF candidate, Mike Chikubula, received 241 votes, while Wezi Kaonga of the Leadership Movement (LM) only managed to secure 22 votes. The UPND’s success in these elections highlights their growing popularity and support among voters.

Solomon Banda, representing the UPND, secured 501 votes in Chililabombwe, while the Patriotic Front’s Donald Mwape received 251 votes. The UPND’s success in these elections is a significant achievement for the party and a clear indication of their growing popularity among voters.

The Socialist Party’s candidate, Ruth Luapula, received 73 votes, while Lumbala Kawilila of Harry Kalaba’s Citizens First (CF) and LM’s Malwa Maliseni both received 11 votes. The UPND’s success in these elections highlights their growing popularity and support among voters.

The United Party for National Development (UPND) emerged victorious, winning all three seats. Adrian Lupiya, who represented the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by Saboi Imboela, received only three votes. The UPND’s success in these elections highlights their growing popularity and support among voters.

This is a significant win for the UPND, as the area was previously dominated by the Patriotic Front (PF). Enerst Kasakula of the UPND secured 1,081 votes, marking a major shift in the political landscape of the region.

The Socialist Party candidate, Hendrix Lengwe, received 320 votes, while Elvis Chali of the CF came in second with 238 votes. Despite strong competition, the UPND was able to secure a clean sweep, demonstrating their popularity and support among voters.

The Patriotic Front’s candidate, Isaac Mwansa, received 132 votes, while Nicholas Mule, who ran under the Zambia Must Prosper (ZMP) party led by Kelvin Fube Bwalya (KBF), received 51 votes. However, it was the UPND who swept the elections, securing all three wins.

The results were a clear indication of the party’s growing popularity and support among voters. On the other end of the spectrum, LM’s Flannel Nyimbi received only nine votes, placing last in the election.
