Leader of the Opposition Economic Front, Wynter Kabimba has urged President Hakainde Hichilema to refrain from making public pronouncements that may jeopardize the fight against corruption.
Mr Kabimba has charged that some of the statements made by the president on the fight against corruption are putting unnecessary pressure on investigative agencies and the judiciary.
He says since some of the statements made by the head of state may be deemed to on-going investigations, it would be prudent for the president to take a back stage and allow institutions mandated to do so without undue influence.
Further, Mr Kabimba says the fight against corruption can only yield positive results when there is less political pressure from the executive.
