Minister of Green Economy and Environment Hon. Eng. Collins Nzovu MP on Friday, 17th February, 2023 joined other stakeholders in awarding companies that have demonstrated excellence in their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and Responsible Business.
During the 4th Zambia CSR and Responsible Business Awards Gala dinner, Hon. Nzovu said Corporate Social Responsibility, is a concept that is gaining more and more importance in today’s society.
He said CSR is the way in which companies act responsibly and ethically towards their stakeholders, including employees, customers, communities, and the environment.
“The CSR awards recognize the businesses that have made this commitment to social responsibility and have gone above and beyond in their efforts to give back to society,” he said.
The Honourable Minister said companies that had demonstrated excellence in their commitment to CSR were being awarded for showing that they understand the importance of balancing their financial performance with their social and environmental responsibilities.
