Police in Kawambwa District of Luapula Province have arrested a woman traditional healer for suspected murder of her client who died while being attended to.
The traditional healer identified as GETRUDE CHAMA is said to have made tattoos on the body of SYLVESTER KABUSWE and applied powder which made him lose breath and died instantly.
The traditional healer and the deceased are cousins who both live in Messenger Compound of Kawambwa District.
Luapula Province Police Commanding Officer GLORIA MULELE confirmed the death adding that police who rushed to the scene found a pot of medicine which was used by the healer.
In a statement to ZNBC News, Ms. MULELE said the traditional healer is being held in custody as the investigation in the suspected murder case continues.
The body of the deceased has been deposited in the Kawambwa District Hospital Mortuary.
