Presidential Spokesperson, Antony Bwalya, has been appointed as Deputy High Commissioner at the Zambian Embassy in Tanzania.
The appointment of Bwalya by President Hakainde Hichilema into the Diplomatic Service is with immediate effect.
Hichilema has since thanked Bwalya who had served as Presidential Spokesperson at State House since 2021.
The President has expressed confidence that Bwalya will serve government and Zambian citizens to the best of his ability as he takes up his new appointment.
Meanwhile, Bwalya has thanked the President for the opportunity and trust shown in him, stressing the need to form mutually beneficial relationships with countries in the region and beyond.
He states that to consolidate the push to deliver improved livelihoods for all through trade and investment, economic diplomacy must be fronted to open up new markets while expanding existing ones.
