BIGTREE is excited to announce the launch of the new Cornflakes Breakfast Cereal, high in fibre, iron, zinc, selenium and packed with a source of eight vitamins. From our nations soil to your breakfast tables, Bigtree’s single-minded focus on quality, localization, shared value and tireless development has delivered a locally produced, locally sourced, proudly Zambian product which will drive import substitution and accessibility within Zambia as well as be competitive across regional markets.

Bigtree acknowledges the shifting consumer dietary preferences including a growing demand for healthier breakfast options with emphasis on the need for convenient meal alternatives. “We have therefore invested extensively in ready-to-eat (RTE) breakfast cereals processing technology. Bigtree Cornflakes production focuses on the provision of product of the highest quality, the delivery of superior flakes consistently whilst using best in class production and quality assurance practices” said Bridget Kambobe, Trade Kings Group PR & Corporate Affairs Manager.

As locally sourced maize (specifically yellow maize) is the primary raw material used in the manufacturer of cornflakes, the company is committed to the support of small hold farmers, providing security through an out-grower scheme, improving the incomes of small holder farmers’ through an improved market price adjustment on required raw material crops, technology introduction and best practice implementation to drive skills development, improving competitiveness and enabling access to previously inaccessible or unattractive markets at often prohibitive scale. With the production capacity and need of 3.6 million tons of maize per year we have envisioned guaranteed market for the maize from the farmers, increases in the creation of local jobs, generation of tax revenues and the supplementation of foreign exchange savings.

Consistent with the ethos of Trade Kings Group, Bigtree remains committed to manufacturing impeccable quality products with an emphasis on rigorous quality management and delivering a unified, consistent consumer experience. We remain proud to bring premium products to Zambia and represent our nation regionally.
