The report of the Auditor General on the Accounts of the Republic for the financial year ended 31st December 2021 is out.
The report has revealed glaring irregularities in Ministries, Provinces and Agencies (MPAs).
On the revenue side the report revealed that tax
arrears had worsened from K59.66 billion in 2020 to K85.78 billion as at 31st
December 2021.
Tax arrears are tax amounts that are assessed by ZRA but not collected.
