This is out of the 1-thousand 8-hundred and 68 cases considered and concluded by the Committee on the review of appeals from Public Service Employees retired in national interest or separated on unfair grounds.
Acting Secretary to the Cabinet PATRICK KANGWA says the Committee received 2-thousand 1-hundred and 26 cases which included 1-thousand 2-hundred and 46 from the mainstream public service, 1-hundred and 67 from Local Authorities and 7-hundred and 13 from grant t aided institutions and statutory bodies.
Mr. KANGWA says of the cases considered and concluded, the Committee has referred 323 cases to the respective institutions for administrative resolve while cases for 130 appellants are still in court hence were not considered.
He adds that 40 cases are still under consideration of relevant service commissions and 966 were dismissed in accordance with disciplinary procedures.
In a statement to ZNBC News in Lusaka, Mr. KANGWA stated that government has since started the process of reinstating the 154 successful appellants.
The Appeals Committee has recommended the reinstatement of 154 public service employees.
