MCC Chief Executive Officer Alice Albright has expressed happiness with the impact of the first Compact which has enabled uninterrupted supply of clean water to Lusaka’s Jack compound in Kabwata Constituency.
Ms. Albright has described the water project as a success as the people of Jack Compound no longer spend hours in search of the commodity.
Speaking when she met beneficiaries from the first compact efforts to build communal water kiosks to over 1,000 household connections in Jack compound, Ms Albright commended the Zambian government and MCC team for the successful implementation of the Millennium Compact Project.
And Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company Managing Director Jonathan Kampata revealed that over 30,000 people are benefiting from the first Millennium Challenge compact project which has reduced the disease burden in Jack compound owing to improved access to clean water
