Mourinho arrived at the Hosea Kutako International Airport on Monday morning and will be visiting several Wilderness Safaris lodges while in that country.
Details around the duration of the decorated coach’s stay are sketchy at this stage but sources say he could be around for at least two days.
His primary lodging is at the luxurious Habitas Namibia sanctuary, about 73 kilometres east of Windhoek. It is located on a 47 000-hectare private estate, 45 minutes from the Hosea Kutako International Airport and boasts diverse natural habitats and hundreds of rare species of wildlife.
Mourinho, who recently led Italian club, Roma, to the Uefa Conference League title is considered one of the greatest coaches of the modern era. He has won multiple league and cup titles in England, Spain, Italy and his native Portugal.
The ex-Real Madrid and Chelsea coach has also won the Uefa Champions League twice, with FC Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010, and Uefa Europa League with Manchester United.
