Hard work, commitment, resilience and dedication is what can best be attributed to in describing one of Zambia’s well known and respected scribes, investigative journalist, retired senior civil servant and Public Administrator in Mr Amos Malupenga.
Zambia enjoys very rich past and recent modern day history that risks being lost to our current generation and those to come owing to a lack of documentation of the same, leaving us to the mercy of “kachasu” stories as a source of our Nation’s history.
This great son of the soil invested alot of resources, time and effort to document most events that characterized our Nation and private eventualities that affect people that in one way or another, helped shape the current future of our Nation we live today. By timely yet historical conversations with most prominent people in his must-read page-turning-book titled “Conversations with memorable personalities”.
This to me is a worthwhile challenge to our current Youthful Journalists to do the same for our children and grandchildren to come and appreciate the future they shall come to live in.
As a keen follower of our Nation’s history, I was humbled to receive a copy of this treasurable read from Mr Amos Malupenga in person when he was kind enough to pay a visit to our home.
