Meet Fanta, a 26 year old enthusiastic Gambian tour guide. She shares with Melo Media her passion to guide tourists and other people who visits her country. She says her passion to guide was ignited in her courtesy of the many years that she watched her father do it many years ago when she was just a kid. She has encouraged other people to take on this type of passion because despite being a lucrative source of income, it exposes one to many different cultures other than the local and gives an opportunity to speak about one’s country in a perspective other than that of the visitor and other people. She goes on to implore other girls not to be afraid to join the industry because it gives you a chance to shine like a diamond.
