ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Anecdote
“When I was growing up, it was tradition for our mother to gather us and tell us old tales. Some mythical, barely just a figment of imagination, yet others so real that you could actually feel the hair at the back of your head rise as she narrated as her stories were overly scrupulously menacing and endearing at the same time. How she passionately told and the calmness in her voice would coax you to delve almost reflexively. When she told the story of the legend of Mwendanjangula a dangerous mysterious creature who is known to have one half of his body missing, I was so intrigued that I thought everyone should hear this story. “But what’s the best possible way to put it out there?” I quizzed myself? It was at that point that I realized that someday, I’ll have to become a writer.”

Writing
Growing up in the early 80s, Chibimbi was exposed to sophisticated gadgetry but their household was filled with a lot of books that their parents collected. Inevitably, they spent their free time either reading books or listening to their parents’ stories. This early inclination to literature brewed in him a passion to articulate. It is this blend of good listenership, great reading abilities and ultimately a natural flair for literature that groomed him into a writer of a magnificent sort. Their parents told them a lot of stories, but when his mother told them a particular story about how some unfortunate young men who grew up in the rural set up would encounter a mythical deadly creature called Mwendanjangula; it ignited something within him. The passion with which she told, the intrigue in the adventures leading to the encounter and its diversity compelled him to retell. After he grew up, he was already a literature maestro and had enough resources to write and publish the story. He has therefore written a full book titled; MWENDANJANGULA: An Encounter with the Half Man, which is purely fictional, based on the stories told of the Legend of Mwendanjangula. This is the first official publication by the author but the readers should brace themselves for more of such intriguing publications.
