LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – 16th February 2025
The Ex. St. John’s Secondary School Alumni Association (ST. JSSAA) has ushered in a new leadership team, with distinguished Zambian economist Dr. Kelvin Kamayoyo being duly elected as a Trustee Board Member. The election took place during the highly anticipated Elective Annual General Meeting (E-AGM) at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre (New Kenneth Kaunda Wing) in Lusaka on Saturday, 15th February 2025.
Dr. Kamayoyo, known for his profound expertise in strategic planning, project management, negotiations, and resource mobilisation, is set to bring invaluable leadership and vision to the ST. JSSAA Executive Board. His appointment is expected to strengthen the Association’s governance and sustainability while enhancing alumni engagement and institutional development.
Established to unite and empower former pupils of St. John’s Secondary School in Mongu, Western Province, the Ex. St. John’s Secondary School Alumni Association (ST. JSSAA) has continued to grow in strength and impact. As a Trustee Board Member, Dr. Kamayoyo will champion transparency, inclusiveness, fairness, and accountability, ensuring that alumni interests remain at the heart of the Association’s agenda.
The newly elected Executive Board is set to serve a three-year term until 2027, during which they aim to elevate ST. JSSAA’s role as a model school alumni association in Zambia.
This election marks a significant milestone in the history of ST. JSSAA, reflecting its commitment to progressive leadership and long-term development. Alumni associations play a pivotal role in fostering lifelong relationships, providing career networks, and mobilising resources for their alma mater. Dr. Kamayoyo’s vast experience in economic development and governance will undoubtedly steer the Association towards greater achievements.
