Warren Mwambazi, the Member of Parliament for Bwana Mkubwa Constituency, has expressed his delight at the completion of the Myenye-Twapia bridge in Ndola’s Chichele ward.
Speaking after inspecting the finished bridge set for commissioning, Mr. Mwambazi commended the Ministry of Local Government for allocating funds to finalize the construction of the bridge.
The total cost of the bridge, amounting to over K3.8 million, was covered by the Ministry of Local Government Funds and carried out by Alende Engineering company, a local firm based in Ndola.
Mr. Mwambazi emphasized that the completion of the bridge will greatly benefit community members, especially farmers, who will no longer face challenges in transporting their produce from the farming areas to town.
Residents interviewed also expressed their appreciation for the government’s efforts in prioritizing the completion of the bridge, which had been stalled for more than 8 years.
