In order to effectively address the widespread corruption allegations that are tarnishing the integrity of the ministry of lands and natural resources, governance expert Wesley Miyanda is calling for the urgent removal of corrupt officers within the ministry. Miyanda believes that this is a necessary and decisive step that needs to be taken in order to curb corruption and restore trust in the ministry.

A governance expert is calling for the removal of corrupt officers within the Ministry of Lands. The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Elijah Muchima, has been vocal about the widespread corruption within his ministry and has identified specific officers who are allegedly involved in corrupt practices. The expert is urging swift action to address this issue and ensure transparency and integrity within the ministry.

Dr. Muchima has expressed concern over the ongoing reports of corruption in land administration throughout the country. Specifically, he has highlighted issues surrounding the issuance of title deeds and the improper allocation of land.

In an interview, Mr. Miyanda suggests that the presence of these officers for an extended period of time may be contributing to the corruption within the ministry. He emphasizes the importance of the appointing authorities taking action to address this issue. Mr. Miyanda also highlights that such reports of corruption undermine the government’s efforts in fighting against corruption, as it may lead to a lack of trust from ordinary citizens.
