Let’s jump right into it,
- Do not join any weight loss program or pay for a gym membership!
The key here is to help you to avoid doing too much too fast. Especially for those who have never been on a weight loss journey before. You do not want to overwhelm yourself because when you do that, the chances of you quitting are high.
- Your future is determined by what you do daily. This is where we insert, building progressive habits. Here is a tip: How about making sure that the first thing that touches your tongue is water in your mouth, no excuse here.
I am sure you have water in your home and glasses/cups too.
So, when you get up in the morning, make sure you take one glass of water, warm or at room temperature.
Do this for 3 days straight without an excuse and then 7 days and keep on building.
Another tip for building progressive habits is to walk around your house for 5 minutes only. You can do this even in your pyjamas, so music/podcast.
I would advise an inspirational or motivational podcast because what will help you lose weight the most and keep you on this journey in a sustainable way is your mindset in order for you to be inspired and motivated to act.

now the question is what are you willing to sacrifice for a healthier, fitter & sexier you? Is it alcohol, or is those fritters you buy every day to have with your tea?
- Find an accountability partner
Someone who is on a sustainable weight loss journey or ask someone who has lost weight before to help. You could also consult and work with Bloom Peak Media to help you with weight loss. When people have no one to answer to, they seldom achieve their goals. One of my clients knows what she should do to lose weight and keep it off, but she hired me to hold her accountable through her transformational journey.
- Eat more protein. How about incorporating that let-over chicken into a breakfast salad or even a sandwich with your brown bread? How about calling your mother or grandmother to share her famous groundnut porridge recipe, so you can replicate it?
